Staying on Trend with Modern Calligraphy
Traditional calligraphy often uses a specialized dip pen and nib. It’s made to create the unique strokes that define the art form. However, modern calligraphers like myself have adapted to using a variety of other writing tools as well. Each tool achieves different effects and styles. I love the challenge of writing on a variety of surfaces besides paper. It’s amazing to see how versatile hand-lettering can be. I have written on everything from acrylic to mirror, and even fabrics like denim and satin ribbon.
